Recover From Your Back Injury

I went through a major back injury over 20-years ago. There's hardly a day that I don't think about it. The excruciating pain and uncertainty of my future placed a deep amount of fear within my thought process. I tried thinking positive thoughts but it was really difficult to overcome this fear of the unknown.

My back injury consisted of a broken back due to a near fatal boating accident. I was an extreme physical person engaging in all types of physical challenges; mountaineering, scuba diving, hang gliding were just a few. The moment I had my back injury, my life literally stopped. I didn't know what the future held. It was easy for me to challenge the physical, like climbing mountains but challenging the emotions, what I couldn't see and had no experience with was far more than challenging.

Eventually I overcame, faced my greatest fears of the unknown and completely recovered from my back injury. Was it easy? No. Was it worth it? Yes!

Once I accepted the fact that I had to regain my health, regardless of the odds, my thinking process changed and doors of opportunity opened. That's when I was introduced to a Japanese doctor who had the confidence in my recovery. Up until that time, there was no doctor who expressed the confidence that I would completely recover.

I learned during the recovery process, belief is critical to a full recovery. And it helped immensely to have the support and belief from others, not just from me. I guess it's similar to having a coach who believes in you and what you can accomplish. Also, having the faith in God gives the added strength to go through anything. I can honestly say that this injury helped me develop a greater relationship with God. When I look back, it was those bleak difficult times that I was very close to God.

If you're suffering from a back injury I encourage you to find the faith, the belief within yourself and those around you, to face whatever challenge that is now confronting you, both emotionally and physically. I recently wrote a book that reveals the same therapy methods I learned from a Japanese doctor that put me on the road to recovery from my back injury. I continue to use the same therapy methods today to maintain my health.

Sincerely,
